A book on the nature of "mistakes" and their creative importance. Designed for a typography class.
Trying to base a design on mistakes is hard. But research into the happy accident is great fun. My book is about that thin line between mistakes and creativity. It examines some of the usual ways we find errors helpful and takes a look into famous historic mistakes and the “wise men’s” take on the matter. Turns out that researching the matter is way too easy. Expressing that “wrong is right” is the hard part. Finally coming to the conclusion that not only have some of the world’s most significant moments been defined by mistakes, but that even the greatest minds have been baffled by this, is maddening.
